Loyalty Card Development-Jannyne

Firstly I searched up coffee brewing materials, and in particular the French Press caught my eye.

I then drew a simplified version of the French press and the brewing process into paper and scanned into photoshop, which I then image traced in illustrator so that it will vectorise the image.

After creating a standard business card- sized document I then began to colour in and position the visual elements. I added our little people "theme" to keep our work consistent and cohesive with the "story" that we're trying to tell through our imagery.

I began playing around with text. I decided to keep it down to 2 typefaces, Nautilus Pompilius and Garamond. To keep a consistent grid and clean visual composition I have the text aligned at the centre with the imagery.

For the back of the Loyalty card I composed a grid using photoshop. After which I placed takeaway coffee cups to serve as the "stamp" for the card. I chose 8 as the most suitable number as it is the easiest to work with in the dimensions that I have.

I went through a prcoess of trial and error with the text before I was satisfied with the final result. The typeface that I have used in the back of the card is Nautilus Pompilius and Kraftstoff.

The back of the card's development isn't quite look finished and I may need to consult with my partner, tutors and peers to establish a more polished stamp section for the Loyalty card.
